After his baptism, Jesus began his ministry teaching people about the Kingdom of God (Matt. 4:17). While he travelled through Israel, Jesus preached about the truth of God and healed to show the power of God. Though some followed him because of his power as a miracle-worker, most packed around him because of his power as a preacher (John 7:46). The worst famine is one of the word of God (1 Sam. 3:1; 2 Chron. 15:3; Ps. 74:9; Amos 8:11)! As a master communicator, Jesus didn’t just relate information but pushed for life transformation through practical application. People’s greatest need isn’t physical restoration but spiritual reformation. Humans are built to have a thirst for the truth of God from a man of God. While miracles are temporary, the word of God is eternal (1 Pet. 1:24, 25)!
